Heritage International School is seeking an experienced and passionate High School Business Teacher to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their understanding of business concepts, foster critical thinking, and prepare them for future academic and career success. This position also includes the unique opportunity to lead the British English Olympics (BEO) team in Spring 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Be able to teach high school business courses, including subjects such as Business Studies, Economics, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Manitoba curriculum that meet the needs of the student population.
Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and presentations.
Serve as the lead teacher for the school’s participation in the British English Olympics (BEO) 2025, including preparation and coaching of students for competition in Spring 2025.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their leadership and teamwork skills.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and parent-teacher meetings.
Uphold the school’s mission and values, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualification.
Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching business subjects at the high school level.
Experience in international education is an asset.
Strong understanding of current business trends and global markets.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.
Experience or familiarity with the British English Olympics (BEO) is an asset.
Willingness to be actively involved in the school community and extracurricular activities.
