Darran Lorne

Head Principal

Welcome back to a new academic year! My name is Mr. Darran Lorne and I am the new Head Principal of Heritage International School. Over the past 29 years, I have served as a Principal in Canada, with 3 years in Abu Dhabi and I am very excited to join the Heritage family.

It is my responsibility as Head Principal to maintain a welcoming and caring school environment. I believe learning should be rigorous, relevant and that instruction is engaging and empowering for our students.  And with this, teachers at Heritage International School are expected to be student-centred, focussing on individual success.

At Heritage International School your child will be receiving the finest education in Egypt. Please feel free to contact me at anytime and I am looking forward to meeting you.

Mark Remington

Elementary Vice Principal

Mr. Mark Remington has been working for approximately 20 years in international education across three continents varying from primary to adult education. In this time, he has served over 10 years as a school administrator, mostly within the Canadian academic program, as well as a classroom teacher in multiple countries including South Korea, China, The United States and most recently Egypt. …

Cameron Deroo

Secondary Vice Principal

Ms. Cameron DeRoo comes to Egypt from Alberta, Canada, where she earned her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in leadership at the University of Calgary, a program that is significantly shaping her approach to education and leadership.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. DeRoo enjoys reading, baking, staying active, and exploring the rich culture of her new surroundings. She is particularly excited about the opportunity to see her students excel in the British English Olympics and to work closely with her English and Social Studies classes. Above all, Ms. DeRoo is enthusiastic about connecting with each student and supporting them in reaching their full potential.

Here’s to an exciting year full of growth, learning, and success!
