The Middle School Program at Heritage International School covers Grades 7 and 8 and recognizes the unique academic, social, and developmental needs of early adolescence.
Students are supported in developing increasing independence, confidence, responsibility, organization, critical thinking, communication, and self-management as they prepare for the expectations of the Manitoba High School Program.
The Middle School Program integrates the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), relevant Manitoba curriculum expectations, and Common Core learning standards.

Students are progressively introduced to assessment and examination formats that prepare them for High School expectations, including strategies for effective test and examination performance.
By the end of Grade 8, students are supported to enter High School with stronger subject knowledge, effective study habits, organizational skills, academic confidence, personal responsibility, and readiness for subject-specialist learning and future pathway planning. |
